Product Overview
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel is one of the most popular types of steel due to its extended durability, the strength and formability of steel, and the corrosion protection of zinc iron coatings. Zinc protects the base metal by acting as a barrier to corrosive elements, while the sacrificial properties of coatings make steel durable.
Galvanizing is a manufacturing process in which a zinc coating is applied to steel or iron to provide protection and prevent rusting. There are multiple galvanizing processes to choose from, but the most commonly used method is hot-dip galvanizing.
Hot rolled galvanized (HGI) coils are a new branch of hot-dip galvanizing (HDG), with a process different from cold rolled galvanized (CGI). HGI is widely used in the construction industry, automotive industry, home appliance industry, and other industries. Basically, it is an environmentally friendly green material that replaces traditional hot-rolled black wood and wood. The figure shows the extensive applications of all hot-dip galvanized products, including various uses of HGI and CGI such as C and Z-shaped steel, highway guardrails, structural supports, light steel joists, etc.
