"Our commitment is rooted in systemic quality control. From initial chemical spectroscopy of hot metal inputs to final surface profiling, our internal laboratory monitors all yield parameters to secure international standard compliance."
How Puppet Steel integrates AI-driven processing and logistical efficiency to offset global supply vulnerabilities.
The global metal trade faces continuous challenges, including volatile ocean freight structures, fluctuating energy tariffs, and regional material shortages. Puppet Steel circumvents these constraints by implementing a digitized Smart Factory framework in our Ningbo production facility. By linking our processing systems to real-time supply chain databases, we guarantee consistent raw material inputs and optimize resource utilization.
Our processing centers utilize AI-controlled precision slitting and shearing systems that reduce structural deviations to less than 0.5mm across extended sheet spans. Continuous optical sensor arrays automatically inspect surface conditions on our hot-dip galvanizing lines, instantly catching minor pinholes or coating variations that human inspectors might miss.
Our strategic location near the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port allows us to coordinate directly with maritime shipping carriers. We specialize in multimodal export processes, handling everything from bulk cargo vessels for large infrastructure orders to specialized containers for moisture-sensitive surface-coated coils.
Furthermore, our Factory 4.0 integration includes comprehensive traceability protocols. Every shipment is tagged with a unique batch identifier linked to its specific heat number. This allows customers to instantly access our metallurgical testing logs, tensile strength data, elongation performance reports, and chemical composition charts.

Tailoring physical properties and metallurgical parameters for critical global industries.
Supplying shipyards with high-tensile LRS AH36, DH36, and EH36 marine-grade plates. Specially formulated to resist hydrogen-induced cracking and brittle fracture in extreme oceanic temperatures and high-salinity environments.
Providing cold-rolled DC01, DC03, DC05, and DC06 steel coils for automotive chassis components and deep-drawn body panels. Engineered with high elongation limits to prevent cracking during complex high-tonnage stamping operations.
Delivering hot-rolled structural shapes and plate series (ASTM A36, Q235, S235JR). Ideal for heavy equipment frames, structural bridge columns, industrial storage tanks, and large-scale structural skeletons.
Supplying PPGI, GI, and Prepainted Galvanized/Galvalume Steel Coils (DX51D grade) for outdoor building panels, corrugated roofing, and air duct systems. Designed with optimized zinc adhesion layers for superior long-term weather resistance.
Offering medium to high carbon plates (AISI 1020, 1045) in hot-rolled pickled and oiled finishes. These grades provide excellent machinability and response to thermal treatments for manufacturing gears, shafts, and linkages.
The global carbon steel market is moving beyond simple structural metrics toward smart metallurgy and reduced environmental impact. Puppet Steel's development plan prioritizes the reduction of greenhouse gases, increased steel longevity, and improved thin-gauge performance.
Green Metallurgy & Decarbonization: As global partners implement carbon taxes and sustainable supply chain initiatives, we are actively reducing the carbon footprint of our processing facilities. By optimizing raw scrap melting, utilizing energy-efficient electric arc furnace processes, and adopting clean energy sources, our goal is to supply low-carbon steel components that help global projects meet environmental standards.
Advanced Coating Technologies: Conventional zinc galvanization is giving way to newer alloy formulations. Puppet Steel is refining zinc-aluminum-magnesium coatings that offer up to four times the corrosion resistance of standard coatings. This advancement protects steel cut edges from rust, extending the service life of solar tracking mounts, marine infrastructure, and rural building materials.
These initiatives ensure that Puppet Steel products conform directly to evolving environmental mandates in Europe, the Americas, and APAC markets, shielding our distribution partners from changing regulatory barriers.

Technical advice from our metallurgical engineers for global buyers.
ASTM A36 is a structural steel specification governed by yield and tensile requirements (minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi), making it ideal for structural fabrications. AISI 1020 is a carbon steel grade defined by chemical composition (0.18-0.23% carbon). While they exhibit overlapping properties, ASTM A36 includes specific limits on copper and trace elements to ensure weldability, whereas AISI 1020 is preferred for general machined parts that may undergo case hardening.
White rust, or zinc storage stain, occurs when galvanized steel is exposed to moisture in stagnant air. We apply three layers of protection: chemical passivation treatment immediately after the coating line, thin-film anti-fingerprint coatings (AFP) as requested, and moisture-proof packing including desiccant packs, double-wall steel wrap, and secure ocean pallet strapping to prevent ocean condensation.
Our high-tensile marine carbon steels are certified under the major Classification Societies including Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LRS), Bureau Veritas (BV), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and DNV. Each shipment is delivered with certified Mill Test Certificates (MTC) following EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 formats, containing verified Charpy V-notch impact testing data.
DC06 is an interstitial-free (IF) carbon steel with low trace carbon and nitrogen content, stabilized with titanium or niobium. This composition provides exceptional elongation (≥41% for thin sections) and a high plastic strain ratio (r-value). This makes it suitable for complex deep-drawn components like fuel tanks and door interiors where DC01 would tear.
