Product Description

Hot Rolled Steel Sheet & Coil - Durable and Cost-Effective Carbon & Alloy Steel for Heavy-Duty Applications

We supply a comprehensive range of hot rolled steel products, including black mill finish coils, pickled and oiled (HRPO) sheets, and heavy gauge plates. The hot rolled steel is manufactured from continuously cast slabs, processed through roughing and finishing mills under controlled temperature and cooling rates. Our hot rolled steel covers structural carbon steel (SPHC, SS400, Q235B, S355JR), HSLA (S355MC, S420MC), weathering steel (Corten A/B, SPA-H), pressure vessel grades (A516 GR70, P265GH), and deep drawing grades (SPHE, DD13). Thickness ranges from 1.0mm to 200mm, with widths up to 2000mm. The hot rolled steel can be supplied as black coil, pickled and oiled sheet, or cut-to-length plate, with optional edge trimming and slitting. HRPO offers a scale-free smooth surface comparable to cold rolled, at a 10-20% cost reduction for many non-critical surface applications.

Application

Structural fabrication, automotive frames and chassis, welded pipe and tube making, LPG tanks and pressure vessels, shipping containers, cold rolling mills feedstock, agricultural equipment, and general engineering.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the main difference between hot rolled and cold rolled steel?
Hot rolled steel is roll-pressed at high temperatures (over 1700°F), making it easier to shape and form. Cold rolled steel is further processed at room temperature, offering tighter dimensional tolerances and a smoother surface finish.
Q2: Which steel grades do you provide for hot rolled products?
We supply structural carbon steel (SPHC, SS400, Q235B, S355JR), high-strength low-alloy (S355MC, S420MC), weathering steel (Corten A/B, SPA-H), pressure vessel grades (A516 GR70, P265GH), and deep drawing grades (SPHE, DD13).
Q3: What are the advantages of Pickled and Oiled (HRPO) steel?
HRPO steel undergoes an acid wash to remove carbon scale followed by oiling to prevent rust. It offers a scale-free, smooth surface suitable for non-critical surface applications, saving 10-20% in cost compared to cold rolled steel.
Q4: What is the standard dimensional range for your steel sheets and coils?
We offer thickness ranges from 1.0mm to 200mm and widths up to 2000mm. Common widths include 1000mm, 1250mm, and 1500mm, with custom slitting and cutting services available.
Q5: How are the steel products packaged to avoid rust and damage?
All products are packed using standard export seaworthy packaging, which includes secure steel strapping, edge protectors, and moisture-proof wrapping to ensure they arrive in optimal condition.
Q6: What certifications do your hot rolled steel products carry?
Our hot rolled steel products comply with international testing standards, certified by ISO, RoHS, and IBR, ensuring reliable performance in demanding structural and industrial applications.
